Are you insured to work in my home ?

Cost Effective Heating has Public Liability insurance to the value of £5,000,000 covering us to work in Houses, Blocks of Flats, Shops, Offices, Surgeries, Hotels, Guest Houses, Public Houses and Restaurants (copy available upon request).

How much is this going to cost me ?

To disconnect, remove and dispose of say four old night storage heaters and replace with four electric radiators would typically cost around £1,900 inc vat this includes all fixtures, fittings, testing and commissioning

This based on the assumption that the electrical circuits required for the new radiators meet British Standard BS7671 17th Edition

How long does installation take ?

Typically we can install 6 to 8 electric radiators in a day depending on the amount of electrical work required for each one.

Do I need to be at home during the installation ?

No there is no need for you to be at home in fact we may need to have the electricity off for some time so it could actually be more inconvenient for you to be at home during this time.

What Guarantees do you give ?

Products

The radiators are guaranteed by the manufacture for the following periods

  • 10 years against leaks / faulty housings
  • 2 years for all electrical components
  • 1 year on all fittings
Installation

In addition to the above there is also a 6 Year guarantee on all electrical work
which is carried out by our sister company Juice Electrical Services of Hailsham

Where can I use electric heaters ?

Our range of electric radiators and towel rails can be used in Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Living & Dining Rooms, Kitchens, Conservatories, Extensions, Lofts, Shops, Offices and more.

They are also an ideal replacement for those old night storage heaters as well as being a neat solution for providing additional heating in the home where adding to a plumbed in system is not a viable option.

Do the radiators need to be serviced ?

No, our radiators require no maintenance simply keep clean with a damp cloth.

Does the radiator have a thermostat ?

Yes, all of the radiators are fitted with accurate thermostats which in turn will help you to reduce your running costs.

How accurate are the thermostats ?

The thermostats on the digitally controlled radiators are accurate to 0.2 of a degrees

What are the radiators made from ?

The electric radiators are made from high quality cast aluminium and the electric towel rails are made from high quality steel with welded joints

What’s inside the radiator Bricks, Liquid or Gas ?

The radiators are filled with a special thermodynamic fluid which is heated by an electrical element.

Can you use the radiators in a bathroom ?

Radiators can be used in the bathroom but it does depend on size and location,
towel rails are more suited for use in the bathroom.

Can I hang clothes directly on the radiator ?

Clothes can only be hung on the towel rails and should not be placed on any other radiators.

Why is the radiator sometimes cold to the touch ?

The radiator may look as if it is off or not working properly. However this is due to the thermostat controlling the output. If the desired temperature in the room has been reached then the thermostat will stop the radiator from producing any more heat.

This is the most efficient and economical way of heating your home.
